Opening conference - Société de l'accélération et apprenants hypermodernes

The injunction to citizens is to constantly adapt to the ever-changing world of work and society in general. One of the challenges is to ensure their own employability in a constantly changing system that is subject to ongoing hypermodernity.  Hypermodernity is characterised by an increased acceleration of human activities in a highly productivist context and governed by the use of digital information and communication technologies, in all places and circumstances. Far from exhausting the subject, Annie Jézégou's lecture highlights the tension induced by two opposing temporalities: on the one hand, the acceleration of society, and on the other hand, the long time of learning; this tension being both perceived and experienced by the "hypermodern" learner.

This webinar took place on 10 February 2021 at 1pm. It was conducted by Annie Jézégou, University Professor in Education and Training Sciences, CIREL Laboratory (ULR 4354), Trigone team, Adult Education and Training Sciences (SEFA) component of the University of Lille, and head of the e-Formation & Innovation hub of La Fabrique des formations.
